Global Poker at a glance
Global Poker is VGW's poker room and still the only big sweepstakes site where you play peer-to-peer poker for Sweeps Coins. That includes cash games, tournaments and Jackpot Sit & Gos, with slots on the side. Its welcome of 5 SC plus ten Sit & Go tickets is strong.
The operator is VGW GP Ltd, and the brand dates from 2016. The lobby lists Poker (cash games, tournaments, Sit & Go) plus slots games, with titles from VGW. It runs on the standard US sweepstakes model with two currencies: Gold Coins (GC) for pure entertainment play and Sweeps Coins (SC), which can be redeemed for prizes once you've played them through.
Welcome offer and free coins
Open a new Global Poker account and you get 100,000 GC + 5 SC + 10 Jackpot Sit & Go tickets, without spending anything. We couldn't confirm a current daily login reward in the official rules, so check the promotions tab once you're signed in. The free mail-in (AMOE) amount isn't stated in the sources we reviewed. The official sweepstakes rules on the site set out the current postal entry process.
Global Poker sells optional Gold Coin packages with bonus Sweeps Coins (SC) on top. We didn't record a verified first-purchase deal, so we'd treat any banner offer as subject to the terms shown at checkout. Buying is never required, and it doesn't change your odds of winning.
How sweepstakes play works at Global Poker
Think of Gold Coins (GC) as arcade tokens. They have no cash value, you can't redeem them, and they exist only so you can play for fun. Sweeps Coins (SC) are the sweepstakes entries. You never buy them directly. Instead you receive them free at sign-up, through daily bonuses, by mail-in request or as a bonus with an optional Gold Coin package. Winnings made with them can be exchanged for prizes.
Playthrough: Only SC won in play is redeemable. In practice, each prize coin must be wagered at least the stated number of times before it becomes redeemable. For Global Poker that's in line with the industry standard.
Redemptions: minimums, speed and payment methods
This is the section we weight most heavily (30% of the score), because it's where sweepstakes casinos really differ. At Global Poker: Cash from 50 SC; 48 h to 10 days. Gift cards: gift cards available. Payment rails: Skrill, ACH, gift cards.
Verification (KYC): ID verification; complaints about disabled accounts. Every US sweepstakes operator has to confirm your identity, age and location before paying a prize, usually with a photo ID, a selfie and sometimes proof of address. Our advice is the same everywhere. Complete verification right after you sign up, use the same name as your bank account, and redeem to a method in your own name. Our redemptions subscore for Global Poker is 3.4/5.
Games and software
Global Poker offers Poker (cash games, tournaments, Sit & Go) plus slots games. Notable studios include VGW. Live dealers: No live dealers. Slots make up most of the library, as at nearly every sweepstakes casino. Table games and live shows, where offered, play in the same two coin modes. We score games on the size and quality of the library, studio variety, and whether live tables or originals add something extra. Global Poker scores 3.0/5.
Where you can play, apps and age limits
Minimum age: not stated in our sources, so check the terms (most US sweepstakes casinos require 18+, and some states 21+). Apps: Browser only. State rules are changing fast. California, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, New Jersey, New York and Tennessee have banned sweepstakes casinos by statute, Oklahoma's ban takes effect on November 1, 2026, and operators sometimes leave a state with little notice. Always read the eligibility section of the current sweepstakes rules before you sign up. Availability and apps score 3.8/5.
More context on Global Poker
Global Poker's 1.7 Trustpilot score is an outlier. Every other casino here averages 3.2 or better. Poker players are a vocal crowd, and a site where you play against other people attracts complaints about bots and collusion that slot-only casinos don't. Even so, the volume and consistency of reviews about disabled accounts and suspicious play are a real red flag, and they drive its 1.9 user-sentiment subscore.
The company behind it, VGW, has been in sweepstakes since Chumba launched in 2012. It closed LuckyLand Slots in September 2026, settled with New York for $8 million, and is now defending lawsuits in Florida and Kentucky. Global Poker's restricted states mirror Chumba's.
Tips for playing Global Poker
- Use the 10 Jackpot Sit & Go tickets before buying anything.
- Only SC won in play can be redeemed, so the 5 SC welcome needs to be played first.
- Cash starts at 50 SC, but payouts take 48 hours to 10 days.
- If you suspect bots, report hand histories to support.

What players say
Trustpilot: 1.7/5 from 1,320 reviews (profile, checked October 15–16, 2026). App stores: we found no official app listing with ratings. Reddit: Allegations of bots and suspicious RNG at the tables, plus disabled accounts.
A sample of recent Trustpilot reviews (paraphrased, with reviewer name, date and star rating):
Mike praises the card games and redemptions in under two days.Trustpilot, 2026-10-14, 5★ (paraphrased)
Jake says his account was disabled after more than a year of verified play.Trustpilot, 2026-10-13, 1★ (paraphrased)
Treat review sites with care. Sweepstakes casinos actively ask happy players for reviews, and angry players are more likely to post after a loss. That's why we weight the patterns (the same complaint repeated across sites) more than the average score. The user sentiment subscore for Global Poker is 1.9/5.
