About BetWise

BetWise is a small editorial project that reviews US sweepstakes and social casinos. It covers what you can claim free, how prizes actually get paid and what other players experience, not just the headline bonus.

Our rating method

Each casino gets six subscores from 0 to 5, based on the evidence in our research notes:

• Redemptions (30%): gift-card and cash minimums, typical payout time, methods, limits and request frequency.
• User sentiment (20%): Trustpilot score and volume, App Store and Google Play ratings, and recurring complaint themes on Reddit.
• Bonus value (15%): free Sweeps Coins at sign-up, daily rewards and mail-in amounts.
• Games (15%): library size, studio variety, live tables and originals.
• Availability and apps (10%): how many states can play, and native app quality.
• Transparency and trust (10%): published rules, KYC friction, operator history and legal actions.

The weighted total, rounded to one decimal, is the star rating. Ties are broken by the unrounded score.

Sources

We use official casino sites, terms and sweepstakes rules (captured from a US IP address in October 2026), LuckyQuack's reviews and state tracker, SweepstakeReport's official-rules summaries, Trustpilot profiles (score and count read on October 15–16, 2026), Apple's App Store and Google Play listings from the official developers, and Reddit threads. Where a fact can't be confirmed we write "not stated". We never estimate it.

Screenshots

Homepage screenshots were captured with a headless browser in October 2026. Where a site blocked automated access (Pulsz), we show no image rather than a substitute.

Independence

Some links are affiliate links (see the disclosure). Commission terms don't enter the scoring formula.
