Modo.us at a glance
Modo is one of the newer apps on our list (its iOS app arrived in May 2025), but it has grown quickly thanks to one thing players care about most: getting paid. Its cash minimum is 50 SC, and bank transfers are usually approved within a day.
The operator is ARB Gaming LLC (iOS app May 2025). The lobby lists 2,000+ games, with titles from Evolution, Vivo Gaming, ICONIC21 (live). It runs on the standard US sweepstakes model with two currencies: Gold Coins (GC) for pure entertainment play and Sweepstakes Coins (SC), which can be redeemed for prizes once you've played them through.
Welcome offer and free coins
Open a new Modo.us account and you get 20,000 GC + 1 SC, without spending anything. We couldn't confirm a current daily login reward in the official rules, so check the promotions tab once you're signed in. There's also a postal route, the alternative method of entry (AMOE): a handwritten request posted to the address in the sweepstakes rules is worth about 3 SC per request.
Modo.us sells optional Gold Coin packages with bonus Sweepstakes Coins (SC) on top. We didn't record a verified first-purchase deal, so we'd treat any banner offer as subject to the terms shown at checkout. Buying is never required, and it doesn't change your odds of winning.
How sweepstakes play works at Modo.us
Each game has a switch between two modes. In Gold Coins (GC) mode you're playing purely for entertainment and nothing you win can be cashed out. In Sweepstakes Coins (SC) mode, wins are counted toward prizes. US promotions law makes that possible because the prize currency is always available free, which is why every legitimate sweepstakes casino offers a mail-in entry.
Playthrough: 1x on SC (check terms). In practice, each prize coin must be wagered at least the stated number of times before it becomes redeemable. For Modo.us that's in line with the industry standard.
Redemptions: minimums, speed and payment methods
This is the section we weight most heavily (30% of the score), because it's where sweepstakes casinos really differ. At Modo.us: Cash from 50 SC; ACH/debit typically approved within 24 h, then up to 5 days (terms allow up to 30 days). Gift cards: gift cards from 20 SC. Payment rails: ACH, debit card, Trustly Instant (3% fee). Limits to know: One redemption request per day.
Verification (KYC): ID verification before redemption. Every US sweepstakes operator has to confirm your identity, age and location before paying a prize, usually with a photo ID, a selfie and sometimes proof of address. Our advice is the same everywhere. Complete verification right after you sign up, use the same name as your bank account, and redeem to a method in your own name. Our redemptions subscore for Modo.us is 4.5/5.
Games and software
Modo.us offers 2,000+ games. Notable studios include Evolution, Vivo Gaming, ICONIC21 (live). Live dealers: Live dealer tables. Slots make up most of the library, as at nearly every sweepstakes casino. Table games and live shows, where offered, play in the same two coin modes. We score games on the size and quality of the library, studio variety, and whether live tables or originals add something extra. Modo.us scores 4.5/5.
Where you can play, apps and age limits
Minimum age: 21+ for sweepstakes play. Apps: iOS app. State rules are changing fast. California, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, New Jersey, New York and Tennessee have banned sweepstakes casinos by statute, Oklahoma's ban takes effect on November 1, 2026, and operators sometimes leave a state with little notice. Always read the eligibility section of the current sweepstakes rules before you sign up. Availability and apps score 3.8/5.
Tips for playing Modo.us
- Check your state before anything else. Modo runs Gold-Coin-only in 17 states and doesn't serve Washington, and the welcome is small, so the real draw is redemptions.
- Use plain ACH or debit for cash-outs and skip Trustly Instant unless you need it. Its 3% fee eats into a 50 SC redemption quickly.
- Split large wins into several daily requests rather than one big one. Reddit's most common Modo complaint is large requests being cancelled or held for review, and the one-request-a-day rule means you're planning across days anyway.
- Try the Evolution live tables in Gold Coin mode first to learn the pace before spending Sweepstakes Coins.

Treat review sites with care. Sweepstakes casinos actively ask happy players for reviews, and angry players are more likely to post after a loss. That's why we weight the patterns (the same complaint repeated across sites) more than the average score. The user sentiment subscore for Modo.us is 4.5/5.

Bottom line
Modo trades a stingy welcome for fast, low-minimum redemptions and a deep lobby with live Evolution tables. Living in one of the GC-only states removes most of the appeal, so check the list first.
